Building an inclusive, collaborative and resilient city starts with creating spaces of encounters, ready to host inclusion, collaboration and beauty. In the past years, many places have been experimenting towards more freedom and common sense. Pioneers, idealists, visionaries, they’ve been opening the way of a more human approach to the city. Meanwhile urbanism, third-places, colivings, illegal occupations, makerspaces, urban labs, mobile activations… These are all revolutionary seeds, that could be our best chance to tackle climate change and migration flows. Let’s gather and share the stories and knowledge of the ones who have experience growing it. Who knows? We might positively change the world.

POSITIVE SPACES WORLD TOUR

The Wide Open Project started as solo road-trip of placemaking initiatives, to documentate positive spaces worldwide: 15 months of  countless space visits and interviews with passionate placemakers, architects, philosophers, urbanists, anthropologues, sociologues, right-to-the city activits, designers and artists in Paris, Detroit, Montréal, Havana, Mexico City, Medellin, Bogota, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Lomé, Accra, Lisbon, Madrid and Valencia. Now, we are several place tellers”, ready to guide those willing to explore positive spaces around them! Let’s build a worldwide crowdsourced storytelling of what the world can look like.
